When you watch this game, you really see how much the Celtics missed Len Bias. With Bias gone, and Walton injured, they had pretty much nothing coming off the bench.

Detroit, on the other hand, was a DEEP team, though how deep wasn't entirely clear then. Detroit reminds me of the Celtics team now. It was deep, and athletic, and was run by a great point guard.

I know it's sacrilege, but I think Rondo is better than Thomas already, and still getting better. His court vision is a lot better than Thomas'.

I can see why the Pistons wanted to make a move with Dantley. If he had played more aggressively, the Pistons would have run away with this game. Again and again he was set up for a slash to the basket and hesitated. Don't be like this Jeff Green!

Thomas is my favorite non-celtic, but if I had to choose between him and Rondo, I'd take Rondo.
