Wilcox seems very likable. He's very articulate, and its great the way he takes the lame questions that are handed to them, and fills his answers with thoughtfulness. He painted quite a picture of what this experience has been like for him.
Now I know I complain about journos a lot, and the thing is, I don't think I complain enough. I think most of them, almost all of them, are an absolute disgrace to their field. But what I hate even more is what I see as the increasingly overwhelming trend to pick talking heads, especially if they are female, for their looks. I've seen this one before on CSNNE, I think - I don't know her name - this blond one. She comes off like a high school newspaper reporter, a bad one. When I watch her I find myself wondering how many eager and talented female journos are out there who just don't happen to look like sorority cuties?
Good job Wilcox for turning a lousy interview into a valuable listen.
