Dwight deal updates

The Nets are getting the two best players from the  deal that could take place. They get Jason Richardson also? The Nets will be a deep team just like that! They could have a possible line-up of, Dwight at center,Wallace can play PF, or SF, and of course the back court is set with Johnson, and Williams. Than you add in a dynamic scorer like J-Rich, and you have a good team ready to contend. I would actually say the Nets will be the best team in the East, if they can put all that talent together, and gel together.

ESPN

According to sources the Nets would receive Howard, Jason Richardson, Chris Duhon and Earl Clark in the proposed deal. The Magic would get Brook Lopez, Luke Walton, Damion James, Shelden Williams, Armon Johnson and three first-round picks -- two from the Nets and a lottery-protected first from the Clippers. The Cavs would get Kris Humphries, Quentin Richardson, Sundiata Gaines, a first-round pick from the Nets and $3 million in cash. The Clippers would receive MarShon Brooks.

The deal also could involve the Charlotte Bobcats replacing the Cavaliers, league sources told ESPN The Magazine's Ric Bucher.

Further hurdles exist in that Lopez, Humphries, James, Williams, Johnson and Gaines would all have to agree to sign-and-trades to move them.

If you think the NBA isn't rigged, I say look at the Nets this summer, this deal in particular. You really want me to believe that the Magic, after refusing to trade Howard for two years because no deal was good enough, are going to trade him for this pile of steaming garbage now? The Celtics could make the Nets a better deal than that right now. So could the Lakers. So could other teams I'm sure.

And there's Luke Walton again. He's the magic bean. Remember how the Lakers magically turned him into Ramon Sessions (I think some picks were involved too, as window dressing, as I recall)? Now he's turning into Dwight Howard for the Nets (along with a few other bits and knick knacks). Amaaaazing how the Nets can make all these deals that no one else could make.

I agree, Shawn. The Nets are starting to look like possible favorites in the East. And look at the Lakers out West. They pulled of another Shazam themselves.

Meanwhile most teams in the league are scrabbling for bits and pieces.

Of course they can. They could offer Green, and Moore, and even Sullinger, with those infamous draft picks teams us. The Celtics could trade their 2017,2018 draft picks.lol

But the Celtics could offer more than this team. So can many other teams. The issue is Howard. He doesn't want to sign an extension with any other team, so the Magic are giving in to his braty ways. And other teams don't want to risk the trade, in case he doesn't extend.

I don't really buy that, though. Remember that the Celtics were willing to pull off a big trade for Paul, giving up Rondo, supposedly our future, even though he said he didn't want to sign with us.
