Bass' agent said there are a handful of teams in the mix for his client -- Boston's only unsigned starter -- and the question is whether the Celtics are interested in offering the sort of long-term deal that Bass is seeking after opting out of the final year of his last mid-level contract.

The biggest question I have about Bass is simple. Is he really a starting power forward in the NBA? A great bench player, but is he really a starter

 But is Boston willing to commit that sort of length or money for Bass, essentially determining that he's the power forward of the future for this team? If not, Ainge has to investigate potential sign-and-trade options in order to bring back an asset for next year's squad given their cap/tax constraints.

I have said that Green is a must over Bass. I like the idea of a sign and trade dealing Bass for a Smith, or someone who comes up later on. I want Bass back, but giving him the moon must be out of the question.

What about Kristic?

Krstic left the NBA right when the storm came in and the NBA fell into a  lockout fstate. Having signed a very lucrative deal with CSKA Moscow he had a very efficient and productive year.

In  the summer of 2012. Krstic is trying to go back to the NBA and according to the Serbian site novosti.rs the Celtics are among one of the three teams that are interested in hiring the center.According to the report the other two teams are the Milwaukee Bucks and the Brooklyn Nets. Krstic has a 15th July deadline to exercise his option on his second year with the CSKA.
