For me these are the two best players of all-time. The best winners of all-time without question. They both share unique traits that give them a winning edge over their peers. With all of this talk about James and Jordan, or Kobe Jordan. It's safe to say that Kobe isn't close to Jordan, as for James. He has some ways to go.
Jackson quote from his new book
"In my estimation, the guy that has to be there would be Bill Russell. He has won 11 championships as a player," Jackson said in an interview with Time. "That's really the idea of what excellence is, when you win championships."
James is a physical beast, but mentally I don't think he has the same makeup as a Jordan or Russell. I still believe James is still a little mentally weak despite him getting a ring in 2012. I would probably pick Russell as well to start a team. The greatest defensive player ever? I would have to say yes to that.
