It's been five years since banner 17

All of us are five years older, and some of us have changed occupations. Perhaps some of you are starting new lives, and new dreams. Maybe that day five years ago you got your first dog or first car. It's been five years since the Celtics won a title. We know the here and now, and the state of the team as of today. The glory of KG and Pierce along with Doc and Ray have long passed. I can remember June 17th, 2008 like it was yesterday. That saying is funny to me, but in the mind it's true. Time goes by so fast, and sometimes it's hard to enjoy everything at once. From time to time I will watch game six. Like tonight I will watch it and enjoy it.
I was to young to enjoy the 86 championship. The 2008 title was the end all be all for most fans born in the late 70's early 80's. I've watched game six more than five times, (or at least it feels that way) since Ray's departure. As I watch him hit three after three. It hurts me. But as I watch the game unfold, I kind of forget about Ray's back stabbing move to Miami. The game six performance will go down as one of the biggest wins in Finals history. The crowd was insane, and the fans showed why we have some of the best fans in the game. For the fans who fell in love with this team in 2008. I hope you stay with us. I hope you did your research on this culture and franchise. I hope you watched Larry Bird games, Dave Cowens games, and Bill Russell games. If you haven't seen them play. Please checkout the Celtics game of the night here at the site. You'll see great games of Celtics past.
Remember the laughs of game six as there was many. Remember the smiles of the Big Three and Doc. Remember the times we had for a while. It has been a short while. Remember the good obviously. Remember the bad, because it came with a lot of good. Remember the love that we once had. Remember with a smile. June 17th, 2008 was the day the Celtics returned to greatness.

I've watched it about five times since 2008 lol it's always good to see paul and kg with those young legs same goes for ray.
Rondo was actually to me the MVP of that game, or at least co-MVP with KG in game six.
