Celtics Beat Post New Entry

Recap: C's drop game against the Nets 97-96

Paul Pierce put together his best outing of the preseason, going off for 29 points on 10-of-17 shooting. It was a great Rondo, and Pierce performance together. Mr'.Lee was solid with starting unit tonight. He had 13 points, but he could of had many more. Rondo played his longest game in the preseason. Those 35 minutes helped him build better chemistry. The Celtics had over a ten point lead for most of the second half with Rondo leading both the starting unit, and the second team of Green, Bass, and Terry. The Celtics won this game despite the final score. They allowed the third unit to play out the game.

Green was solid with 14 points, and Sully was good when needed on offense 6 points 2-of-of shooting, and he grabbed 9 boards in 30 minutes. Bass was solid as well 4-of-6 for 8 points. I do not like the fact that the Celtics lost the glass 41-35. But again, KG only played 14 minutes. This preseason KG has logged very small minutes, and he sat out last night. The Celtics are really resting KG, and I like it. I just hope he'll be ready by the first game. Good game overall despit the loss.

I was happy with this game. Pierce, and Rondo did look good with each other.

This was a good preseason loss. The starters gelled, finally, and started to feel like a team. Rondo and Pierce seemed to get it going. They had the game handily won and let the younguns handle the end. That ended up being good experience for them, and Rondo with the clipboard at the end.

It was a good loss indeed. KG looked his best so far. Very active blocking shots.
