Everyone seems to attack other fans these days. Bandwagon fans have been around since I could remember. Every franchise has a few of them, and the Celtics are no different. But the Celtics fan base as a whole is well known for the fanatic ways. The old Boston Garden crowd from the 80's and before are well known as some of the craziest crowds in sports history. Today's Celtics crowd is near the top. They're right there with the Thunder and Warriors crowds. During last years game six blowout we had some fans leave the Garden. But for those who stayed I continue to thank you. I keep the video on the site here, and I'll watch it now and then to remind me of how great being a fan of this team is.
During this Finals we've seen Jimmy Kimmel make the fans look clueless, and with the Heat down by 5 with 28 seconds to go. The fans wanted to come back in. They didn't even stay to cheer for their team if they lost in the final game of the year. With the Celtics down 26 in the 4th against New York in game six of the first round. The Celtics fans remained. I'm sure a few took off, but without a doubt 90% or more stayed. The Heat fans have shown the world that all they care about is the ring, or at least a big chunk of their fans.
