Celtics trade Crawford and Brooks to the Warriors

This is a tank move, and a salary cut. I don't like this move one bit. Its a gamble by Ainge, and I don't like it. The deal will send Crawford and Brooks to GSW, and the Heat will get Toney Douglas, and the Celtics get Joel Anthony from the Heat. The Celtics also get some picks, not worth it to me. Shawn will have more on this deal later.

ESPN Boston

The Boston Celtics have traded Jordan Crawford and MarShon Brooks to the Golden State Warriors in a three-team deal that will send Toney Douglas to the Miami Heat and Joel Anthony and two draft picks to Boston, sources told ESPN.com.

Rondo is also headed to play with the Red Claws for the day.

The Celtics announced Wednesday that they have assigned Rondo to the Maine Red Claws of the D-League in order to take part in a workout.

"Rajon is progressing terrifically in his rehab and this is the next step," Celtics president of basketball operations Danny Ainge said in a statement. "This is a brief assignment so that Rajon can participate in a workout this afternoon with the Red Claws and he will be called back up to the Celtics upon the conclusion of the workout."

Now this is a tank move.. Yes Rondo is coming back, but Crawford for picks, and Anthony, plus we gave up Brooks. Wow Danny

I don't understand this.
It was way too early to trade Crawford. We have bayless that can play both two and one, but still..

I don't think Danny wanted to resign Crawford this off season anyways. And I would agree based on Bayless' play and better character. I am fine with getting something for nothing if we were going to let JC walk anyhow. And Brooks just isn't that good.
