"IN RONDO WE TRUST"

Celtics Blog Post New Entry

Let's just keep grinding

It’s been a tough stretch.

I didn’t have the chance to write about the previous two games, but looking at the box score, there’s not much to say. Anyone remember when I wrote that post on the learning curve at the beginning of the season? Well, this is the part when we fall, and we just keep falling. As usual, I can just try to understand what’s going on from the box score, and when I do that, I feel like I’m looking at a pretty good machinery overall, but that the pieces that compose it, just don’t seem to work all together. We have some good performance about one or two guys from the starting five unit, and a couple of guys off the bench, but nothing more.

And I don’t even feel like there’s something to say about last night box score: good game from Green, Bradley and Crawford, while Humphries really helped off the bench, together with Kelly. Other than that, everybody else really struggled shooting the ball, we gave up way too many turnovers, and some guys were in foul trouble too early, with Sully eventually fouling out in the fourth.

As Shawn wrote in a post of a couple of days ago, it’s a tough situation, and it’s going to get worse. Our schedule won’t help us, and I think that when a young team enter in a sort of downward spiral like the one we’re in right now, they need some time to sort things out. The guys must be pretty frustrated right now, and this make things even worse.

What I think is that in fact, we are a pretty good machinery, but we just miss the core piece that make everything work in perfect symphony. It won’t be easy when Rondo will be back at first, but I really believe in him, and in the ability of Brad Stevens to find what this team need right now. As a fan, I’m willing to keep grinding with my team and fight through adversity. What I ask for is just for them to not give up: as long as they fight, I’ll be proud of them, and I know there are some warrior in our team.

Winning after a hard time, feels great.

Better times will come, and I will be there to cheer for MY team.

Let’s go Celtics

The Celtics are in a hole, but they still have over achived. I see them winning around 30 games at this pace, if Rondo comes back 100% physically, and around 75% in terms of mentally. Then the celtics are okay

I don't think playoffs are in the picture anymore. This west coast trip is going to break the team. Even if it does not, trade Danny will do what he needs to do. That's okay though. This season is not about that life. Growth and development is the name of the game. Oh and ensuring our boy Rondo is 110% is priority number one for team green. Next season will get interesting though. We our going to be BUSY this off season.

I think that, the way our division is going this year, we can still make the playoffs.
Moreover, having Rondo back will help this team a lot. He won't be the player we know just yet, but mentally it will be a huge bust, and we will have someone on the field to lead this team.
