"IN RONDO WE TRUST"

Celtics Blog Post New Entry

Things not so hot for Doc for his home coming Wednesday

Doc Rivers who? I think we've all moved on, and I couldn't imagine having Doc Rivers around stumbling with this young talented team. Doc can't build a team and that's why he freaked out and bolted once he figured out that Danny was building a team around Rondo while building for the future. Doc is a great coach for veteran players and veteran teams, but asking him to run a team that has Jordan Crawford as the starting point guard would have been awful under Doc. Hell he's not having the best time in LA just yet as their in the middle of the West elite right now.

After his team's third loss in its last four games, Los Angeles Clippers coach Doc Rivers called his players out for "pouting" in their 88-82 loss against the Cleveland Cavaliers and said they're not where they need to be "maturity-wise."

"We did a lot of pouting in the game," Rivers said Saturday. "You can't play that way. You have to keep playing. I always call them emotional hijacks, and we had a lot of that going on. That happens, but you have to be able to pull yourself out of it individually or as a group, and I don't think we did a good job of that."

"When we become a good team, if we become a good team, it will be because we miss 30 shots in a row and you wouldn't know it," Rivers said. "We just keep playing. You get some bad calls on you and you just keep playing. Right now we're not at that point maturity-wise. When we go bad, we start thinking bad. That's an area we have to grow in. …You can preach it but it's a habit and you have to get over it. There's been times where we've fought it and did good job, and this is one of those nights where we didn't."

Both Boston and LA are 6-4 in their last 10 games, but the Clippers have dropped 3 of their last 4 games. While the Celtics have won 3 in a row, and they've won 4 of their last 5 games. The Celtics are pretty much healthy, and the Clippers have lost some depth with the loss of Redick. Doc and the Clippers come into Boston searching for an identity, as the Celtics may have found an identity.

I don't give a damn who they have injured. They are so super deep that they should still be winning just fine. Or is your darling Chris Paul not getting the job done Doc? Oh, and Rondo says "Hi" Glen.
