Rondo set for check-up on knee

Posted by Morena on December 4, 2013 at 4:05 PM

As someone at Celticsblog said, let the countdown begins!!

The big news that the newspaper are reporting right now is that Rondo is set to have a checkup on his knew with Dr. Andrews, the surgeon that operatd on his knee back in February. Nothing to worry about, but a routine checkup that had been already planned, as Ainge explained to the media:

"It has nothing to do with Rondo's health and it's not like a final straw or anything," Celtics president of basketball operations Danny Ainge said Wednesday. "It's just a checkup that they've scheduled for the beginning of December. It's been on the calendar for a while."

Celtics team doctor Brian McKeon will also make the trip with Rondo, and together with Andrews, those two will likely determine the next step in the rehabilitation process for Rondo, Ainge said.

The article said the meeting should take place in 10-14 days, but another surce said that Rondo planned to visit Dr Andrews when the Celtics meet the knicks, and that would be on Sunday, 8th. Or maybe on Friday, 13th. Whatever the exact date will be, the moment when we will see Rondo step on the court with his uniform on, gets closer and closer every day.

No words can explain what I'm feeling right now. Love, excitement, happyness, my hands shake in aticipation.

He's a constant presence in my mind.

Hold on tight Celtics Nation, we're almost there!!

Bradley had some nice comments that appear over at Green street, saying that he expects the Celtics to become a dangerous team with Rondo back, because he creates openings for everyone else. His comments also reflect something we've talked about here a lot: that Rondo is on the cusp, on the threshold of superstardom. Will he continue his rise? Or will he fall back? In one sentence Bradley refers to Rondo as a "very good player". In the next he calls Rondo "a great player". Well that's a big difference. Which is he? We'll see. But same as last year, the key is the defensive end. We need Rondo to play with intensity and commitment on both ends, and if that means he needs to be spelled more often, we now have a strong backup on Crawford!

Bradley is just a young guy who really hasn't played that much with Rondo. Bradley made a comment a few weeks ago that got me upset when Bradley mentioned Chris Paul and some other points but he failed to mention Rondo. Then another statement Bradley said Rondo and Irving are the hardest covers in the NBA.
