Gary Washburn of the Globe said a league source said that Rondo has been cleared, but the Celtics have said nothing like that. The Boston Herald has reported
that Rondo is scheduled for a meeting with surgeon Dr. James Andrews
between Dec. 7 -10, and that may lead to him being cleared. It's December and I wouldn't be surprised to see Rondo by the end of the week despite the December 7th meeting. Pehaps it's just me wishing for it.
Rondo has definitely made improvements; he has participated in some half-court scrimmaging, at least, and often plays one-on-one against healthy teammates prior to games. But it appears he hasn’t been given the full nod to return to the court, at least for game action.
“Rajon practiced today, but pretty normal for the last couple of weeks,” head coach Brad Stevens said after Monday’s practice at the team’s Waltham facility. “He’s doing a lot in practice, but he hasn’t been cleared for anything above that.”
