The Celtics were the first team to 19 games this year. They ended the month of November with a decent 7-12 record while most expected around 4 wins for the C's. The Celtics played 8 games in the Garden finishing with a 3-5 record. The Celtics hit the road 11 times for a 4-7 record.
In the month of December the Celtics have 12 games and 9 of those are at home with a nice 5 game home stand. So hows the competition when it comes to .500 ball? The Celtics play 4 teams with .500 records or better. The Nuggets, Pacers, Clippers, and Hawks. The Celtics play the Wolves, Wizards, and Pistons who are near a .500 record.
The Celtics will see both struggling New York teams, and that means nothing. Becase both teams may turn the corner at that point So the real advantage that the Celtics have in December is the home court advantage. Also the pending return of Rondo. The Celtics haven't been great at home, but I think that'll change a bit this month.
