The Celtics started this game off rough, but a 23-3 run that started at the end of the first and into the second quarter sparked the Celtics win tonight in Charlotte. The Celtics were up 10 in the third quarter before the Bobcats rallied to tie the game late in the third. Boston then embarked on an 11-0 run that put the Celtics ahead for good. The Celtics iced this one when Jordan Crawford went 6-of-6 from the foul line in the final minute to give the Celtics a 96-86 win in Charlotte.
Crawford finished with a team-high 21 points. Gerald Wallace had the biggest game I thought with 17 points behind many hustle plays. Lee was solid off the bench with 11 points. The Celtics did a fine job with the ball with just 11 turnovers, and rookie Phil Pressey was strong with 8 assists off the bench. He was also a big part of the 23-3 run in the first half that put the Celtics in the ball game.
The Celtics will head home for their next two games against the Grizz and Cavs.
