Rondo showing signs of improvement, beats Brooks in race

I can feel it nearing the return of the Celtics franchise player.

MassLive

“I’m anxious to get back out there, but I want to take my time, make sure this knee is healed 100 percent," the four-time All-Star said Thursday during a live chat on NBA.com. "I don’t want to rush back and have any second surgeries or get anything drained out of my knee. … I’m participating in some contact drills here and there, and as of now I’ve had no swelling, and I’m feeling pretty good.”

You know Rondo can't wait, but he's doing the right thing, plus he's doing a better job then Rose who was nowhere during his rehab last year, or at least until the end of the season. Rondo is looking better each week. If you haven't seen the video of Rondo beating Brooks then here you go.

I give Rondo a lot of credit for Crawford's improved play, and if that's fair, then it means that his leadership skills have taken a big jump. Sully say's he's helping keep the team together too. The big change in Danny's attitude speaks to this too, it seems to me. Danny has pretty much stated a commitment to Rondo. I don't think he'd have done that if he didn't see leadership improvement.

Nice to see you back Paul. The Celtics are going to be just fine with Rondo leading the charge. He has grown so much and I'm just as anxious as he is to see #9 lead this team on the hardwood.

I trust Danny right now. I trust that management has a solid plan and foundation laid out for Rajon to succeed. There has been NOTHING, I repeat, NOTHING to suggest Rondo is on his way out of town save for some stupid New York trade rumors that make no sense whatsoever. Rondo is here to stay and lead this legendary franchise to it's next banner. Everyone else is performing tryouts to be a part of that championship team.
