The Celtics were down by 10 in the 4th quarter, but they took a page from the Pacers after last nights game and the C's put on the defensive clamps. Jordan Crawford was Mr.4th quarter tonight with 10 points in the quarter. Crawford finished with 12 points and 10 assists. All five starters scored in double figures tonight. Green had 16, Bradley had 12, Bass had a team-high 17 points, and Sullinger was solid with 15 points and 9 rebounds.
The Celtics pulled away in the 4th to win 94-87. The Celtics out scored the Hawks 30-13 in the final quarter, and the Celtics have finally ended the losing streak. The Celtics did a great job on the glass out rebounding the Hawks 47-38. That's no easy task when Horford and Milsap are on the other team. The Celtics did have 17 turnovers and just 18 assists, with Crawford leading the way with 10 assists.
The Celtics will move on to face the Bobcats Monday night. The Celtics held the Hawks to 25% from three and 38.7% from the field. They didn't force many turnovers with the Hawks having just 8. The Celtics want to be a defensive team, and maybe they watched Friday's game a few times before tonights.
