It's a long season, and will deal with highs and lows of a long season. With a team like this, will endure many swings. Like we've just seen. The Celtics dropped their first four games, but all of those were hard fought games. All games in which the Celtics could have won. With the Celtics recent wins, it seems like the C's may have found something with their balanced attack. The stat line suggests that with 6 Celtics scoring double figures ( Bass 16, Bradley 14, Lee 13, Crawford 13, Sullinger 11, Green 10).
They were able to get a win by closing out a tightly contested, down-to-the-final-shot affair, doing all the little things needed to flourish after repeatedly failing to do so earlier.
"The most excited I've been since I moved to Boston was when Jordan (Crawford) dove on that loose ball with about three minutes left," Stevens said. "We have to start making winning plays at winning times, and we did."
Winning plays breeds a winning mentality which this team is still working towards developing.
"It's good to win, but when you rest on that ... you have to ride the momentum if you can positively," Stevens said. "But you can't let it consume you, let your head get too big."
Fat chance of that happening.
"Overall, very pleased with the result but we still have a lot to work on," Stevens said. "We just have to figure out how to get better, and move on."
I was impressed with the win in Orlando. The Magic are not the Heat, but the Magic have played well this season, and they have a solid team. The Celtics showed some grit from the past years with their win down in Orlando. Crawford is working for a contract, and I don't know if he's apart of the plan, but his value is rising.
