The Celtics were up 22 with 19 minutes to play, and everything looked great. The Celtics stopped running the ball, and moving the ball. They played old school Doc ball. During the 63 point first half the Celtics utlized every player that hit the floor. The Bucks came back and the C's couldn't recover. The Celtics dropped their home opener 105-98.
Brandon Bass scored a team-high 17 points for Boston, while Gerald Wallace added 14. Jeff Green was aggressive in the first half, and he played like the Green from the preseason a bit in the second half, mainly in the final minutes when they needed more out of him. Jeff finished with 13 points, and he was aggressive. I don't want to make it out to be more than that. Green needs to pick up his free throw shooting. He was 4-of-7. He needs to find custom moves, so he can get to his spots a bit easier.
Vitor Faverani finished with 12 points, 18 rebounds, and 6 blocks over 37 minutes. He seems to get better and better. The Celtics won the glass 51-41. The Celtics let this one get away, and it reminded me of the past. Losing big leads was the norm for so long.
