James happy for Rose's return

Posted by shawn cassidy on October 28, 2013 at 1:35 AM

Rose has looked explosive, and he's looked like he hasn't skipped a beat. Roseh as averaged 20.7 points, 5.0 assists and 3.3 rebounds in 27.4 minutes over seven games. The Bulls won all 8 games during the preseason, any many believe the Bulls will take out the Heat. I believe the Pacers will, but the Bulls have returned to form in some ways.

Rose was the league's MVP during the 2010-11 season when he led Chicago to the best record in the Eastern Conference. James and the Heat then beat the Bulls in five games in the conference finals. They've talked about this being a rivalary, but I don't see it yet. The Bulls in some ways have been out of Mimai's way because of injuires in the past two years.

"I'm happy and thrilled that he's back," James said as the Heat prepared to open defense of their second straight NBA championship. "I'm happy with what he did last year, to be able to stand strong throughout everything, throughout all of the adversity of everybody criticizing him about what he should do. He did what was best for him."

If I was James I would worry about every top team in the East. The Heat will be tired, and I can't wait to see them fall. I know you guys know by now, but the last team to reach the NBA Finals four times in a row was the Celtics from 84-87. The Lakers in the past 13 years have made it twice to three NBA Finals in a row. During the Lakers first three-peat from 2000-2002, they lost to the Spurs in the second round, and during the recent reboot, the Lakers made it in 2008-2010, and in 2011 the following season they lost to the Mavs in the second round, each time around the Lakers lost to the eventual champs.
