Doc is the head coach of the Clippers, but the Celtics seem to always come up. This will go on for some time, but this time Doc nailed it, and at least he throws some heat on his decision, basically saying what he did was treason compared to Paul and Kevin who were traded.
Doc Rivers weighed in on the side of Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce in the ex-Celtics versus Heat feud.
After Ray Allen left in free agency for Miami, Garnett and Pierce were critical. After that duo was traded to the Nets, LeBron James blasted them for being hypocritical.
"Paul and Kevin were traded," Rivers said on "The Dan LeBatard Show" on Wednesday. "They were traded. Paul was traded whether he wanted to be or not. Kevin was the only one who had to agree to be traded even though he had already been traded. He had to agree to the trade. That's completely different."
Rivers has also been criticized for orchestrating his departure from Boston. He thinks the Heat have a better argument there.
"You could make more of a case for me leaving than on Paul and Kevin," an animated Rivers said before reiterating that Pierce's and Garnett's situation is "completely different" from Allen's.
Yes I do make more of a case of it Doc on what you did, how did you know tha? I kid, I kid, not really. Doc went ring chasing, and I stand by my thoughts on the matter. But at least he's making some sense lately.
