KG is on his annual China tour, and he's shared his thoughts on retiring a Celtic, and the Nets title hopes.
“This summer, my emotions have been up and down. Boston was always good to me-a great city with great fans. They will forever have a place in my heart. I always wanted to retire a Celtic, but failed to do so. My career has since moved in another direction and I’m looking forward to it-I have great expectations.”
“I already feel this is a championship-caliber team. They definitely have the temperament of a champion & Deron has a strong heart & strong personality-he’s a good leader-Joe Johnson too. They’re team players and I’m happy to join them.”
“Miami is a very powerful team. They’ve played together for some time, and took the title by relying on unity & cooperation…”
“Playing ball is the most important, no matter what position-I have no particular preference. But if I had to choose between the four and the five, I would definitely choose the four. Brook (Nets’ center Lopez) has become one of the league’s top inside players…I’ve always admired his style, attack & defense.”
KG should have retired a Celtic, but should have doesn't mean much. I've made some peace with all of this. So, I'm just looking forward to the Rondo era.
