Question of the day: Who's the most over hyped team going into the 2013-14 season?

Posted by shawn cassidy on August 24, 2013 at 5:25 AM

Which team in the mix to win it all next season is a bit over hyped? I think for the first time in a long time, that the field is wide open. The Heat are up against history, odds, and age. Their run last season reminded me of the Lakers third title during their three-peat in the early 2000's. The Lakers had an easy go in the Finals that season, but the Lakers were tested for the first time by the Kings, and it was shocking to me that season that the Kings lost to the Lakers in seven games. But for the Heat they will look to be the first team since the Bird Celtics to reach the NBA Finals for four straight seasons.

I actually have two teams that I think are hyped a bit much. I think the Bulls are with the return of Rose, and I think the Clippers are out West. The Bulls haven't seen Rose play for a very long time, the same goes for all of us. Can he just walk in and pick up where he left off? This injury rocked his core, and the question I have is this. Can he be the MVP player he was before. The Bulls team as a whole have been kind of injury prone. Then throw in the inconsistent play of Boozer. The Bulls are a solid 4th or 5th seed right now in my eyes.

What about Doc Rivers Clippers? They were bounced in the first round last season, and I understand they have a few more cast members that will help, and they have Chris Paul's coach of choice. The West is stacked, and the Clippers will need a lot more out of Blake, and even their star Chris Paul, who has been out of the first round just twice in his career. So who's the most over hyped team going into this season?

This isn't the same East when Rose was around. Teams are better now,and the Bulls haven't improved.

The clippers. I think the bulls will be a really strong team this year if they keep everyone healthy.

Probably the Lakers - they should have a rough season, and yet they are scheduled for a lot of TV exposure
