First of all, we know that Jeff is not the Celtics best player, he's the second option though. A report from an ESPN insider guy a month or so ago, ripped the Celtics chances next season, stating that Jeff Green was the Celtics first option on offense. I believe he said this. "Who's their No. 1 scoring option next season? Jeff Green? Yikes."
"For sure we're not tanking. I know that for a fact," he said. "We don't believe in that. Our whole squad is pretty upset about that. We're just going to go out and play hard and we're going to try to make the playoffs." "People talk about this team is not going to be very good, Jeff Green is your All-Star or your best player, it's a sign of 0-and-82. We've heard it all," he said. "We're just going to take it personal."
Rondo will need to bump his scoring in 2013-14. I would like the number 18 to start. Rondo could easily score at least 20 a night, and I've thought he could for the past few seasons if he wanted to score. The Celtics hope that Green has a good season for a couple of reasons. The better he plays, then the more teams may want him, or the better he plays, then the Celtics are picking up more wins. I think when players say they don't read what's said. I think it's a lie. If they don't read it, then people close to them fill them in. In 2012 KG proclaimed he doesn't read what people say, but he wasn't either truthful, or he was being told what has been said, anyone remember KG's jabs at the Hawks owner? Kevin took a few shots at him throughout the playoffs. The owner basically said KG was old and done.
In this era of sports. I find it hard to believe that athletes don't look at what's being said.
