Sullinger looking to be in shape before camp

Jared is apart of the young core that Ainge is looking to build from. Sullinger stepped up to the plate during his rookie campaign before his season ending back surgery. Sullinger earned a spot in the starting lineup in January, and shortly after Rondo's season ending injury. Sullinger was lost with a back issue that forced many teams to look past him in the draft. Sullinger didn't groundbreaking stats. But he produced a solid 6 points, and 6 rebounds in 20 minutes of action. I think Sullinger will compete for the starting gig, but in during his rehab I do hope he sheds some weight.

Boston Celtics forward Jared Sullinger trekked down to Orlando with the team's summer entry this week to continue his rehab from back surgery and while he said his only current limitation is his conditioning, he's not quite certain when he'll be medically cleared to resume contact activities.
The team, you see, is in no hurry to give him that timetable.
"They are keeping it a secret," said Sullinger.
The second-year forward said he can perform all non-contact activities and his focus now is on regaining his conditioning after being limited in the immediate aftermath of surgery. Sullinger is trying to bulk back up, all while cutting some of weight gain from the lack of conditioning activity.
"I've got to drop a couple LBs," said Sullinger. "Just get my body in shape and get my wind back. It's been a minute since I ran up and down the floor."
Sullinger had ascended to Boston's starting lineup in late January when a disc issue ended his season. He underwent surgery soon after and has been rehabbing since with the goal of being ready for training camp. Is he getting antsy to resume contact activities?
"Not really. I'm taking my time," he said. "I know it's going to be a long season, so might as well not rush it. Slow progress."
I love Sully for the fact that he was with Ohio State. If you guys didn't know already I'm a huge fan of Ohio State. I do see Sully being a 12 and 10 guy eventually. I think he could possibly give us 10 and 8 this coming season. Even though Sullinger only played 45 games in his rookie season. I think he picked up enough experience to pick up where he left off.
