Celtics Title Town

Celtics Blog Post New Entry

KG not likely to be moved to LA

The NBA will likely reject a deal that will send KG to the Clippers. The league already knows that both deals are connected, and unless the Celtics and Clippers get a third team in the mix. I don't see KG in a Clippers uniform. Many believe KG, and Pierce will be out here in some manner. And the way things have gone, it's nearly a done deal. I would love to keep these guys despite Doc's departure. KG has the no trade clause so that's big for him. Unless Danny convinces him to move on.

This roster is not a championship roster. I say that because the Celtics are very small up front, and for them to compete for a title they need to get big, and I say this if they keep KG and Pierce. The Celtics don't have the cash to get big, they can maybe snag a free agent big, or trade a guy like Lee or Terry. Many write this team off already because of Doc, I say they you shouldn't. Doc checked out,and the next coach will change things perhaps for the better.

Will Celts & Clips pursue three-team (or more) trades that win NBA's blessing to land KG in LA? Who'd guess "no" after week we've just seen?

The NBA will not approve any subsequent exchange of players between the Clippers and Celtics this summer, and the teams understand that.

I would like KG to stay, because he WANTS to stay; and not because the NBA won't approve the exchange.

So well said, Morena. If KG actually wants to stay, I want him to stay. Same for Pierce. But those two guys, especially Pierce, need to be ready to make some changes.

And how the hell do we get rid of Terry? I guarantee that it will come out in the future that Terry was a way bigger lockerroom problem than Rondo, regardless of F-bombs.
