Free Agent Target: Josh McRoberts

Posted on May 20, 2013 at 5:15 AM

Josh McRoberts said he'd "love" to return to the Bobcats as an unrestricted free agent, but he "made it clear money is biggest factor" in his free agency. Well, I hope he likes a cold hard dose of reality. He won't get crazy money. The Celtics are in need of scrappy tough big men, and McRoberts can provide rebounding and scoring for the Celtics. He made over 3 million in 2013, and I don't know if he's worth anymore than that. I would take him for about that much. No more than that per season.

He's a guy who can help for the right amount of money. Maybe a sign and trade option with the Bobcats. He won't have the answers for the Celtics, but he could be apart of the solution. He can stretch the floor, and he can play off of the offensive glass. He's defiantly one of the best options out there on the free agent market for big men.

This would be a solid add by the Celtics. He can probably get some playing time. A better choice then a Wilcox. If this guy doesn't want to make to much money.
