Celtics Morning Joe: Doc happy with the C's effort

Posted by shawn cassidy on April 13, 2013 at 7:00 AM

Being happy with a loss is weird, and that's how I feel. I'm okay with it, and why shouldn't I be. The Celtics as all of you know, were resting KG and Pierce, or they had ankle injuries. Doc decided to give the the duo a game off on Thursday. The Celtics were prepared for this game, and they had the Heat's number for three quarters. The damn second quarter got away from the Celtics when they allowed 41 points. Overall the Celtics played with the guts and grit that so many of us talk about.

Doc was happy with his team after the 109-101 loss. It could have been a 20 point blow out for sure. But this team stuck with it, and they gave the Heat everything. The Celtics are down to three games, and they are preparing for a first round match up with the Knicks. This will be the second time in three years that the Celtics and Knicks face each other. The last time the Celtics beat the Knicks in the first round 4-0 in 2011. The Celtics showed us a little something Friday without their two best players that are still  currently playing this year. The question we face every day until the playoffs. Can the Celtics put it all together.
