The Celtics had Miami in uncomfortable spots in the first half. The Celtics had a nice 30-17 lead growing, but in a split second it was gone. The Celtics entered the second half down 58-50, and from that point the Celtics couldn't catch up.The 41-23 second quarter did it in for the Celtics. The good news? The Celtics fought without their heart, and soul Pierce and KG. This was a moral victory in many ways. I like the fact that the Celtics out rebounded  Miami 34-32 without two of their best rebounders KG,and Paul. I also like the Celtics scoring 56 points in the paint.

Jeff Green scored a team-high 25 points on 10-of-17 shooting with eight rebounds before leaving the game with a bruised elbow. Jeff broke out of his two game slump, and showed up again when the Celtics needed him. I think it's a good sign for the Celtics seeing Green play Miami well. Jordan Crawford scored 20 points on 7-of-15 shooting. He was keeping the Celtics in the game in the third when he scored 8 of 10 Boston points during a stretch in the third.

The Celtics hung with a Miami team that used their Big Three tonight. Plus they were in Miami. LeBron James scored 20 points on 8-of-10 shooting. The Celtics did an okay job on Wade. He had 11 points off of 4-of-12 shooting. The Heat's bench duo of Lewis, and Allen did the Celtics in. They combined for nearly 40 points. Lewis had 19 points, and Allen added 17 points.

I already had the expectation that the Celtics would lose this game. What I watched for is how they lost. They stayed in the game with fight, and that's what we want.
