Celtics Morning Joe: Two years of service

Posted by shawn cassidy on April 9, 2013 at 5:00 AM

Well it's been two years since I have been writing and managing this blog. I had no idea what I was doing then, and frankly I feel the same today. I can't believe it's been two years. It feels longer, but I'm glad it hasn't. I have no idea what the future holds. I know I have out lasted some Celtic blogs, and I also know that the giants are still the giants. This is one of those little sites that hangs around. Honestly, were going nowhere. When I started this site. I wanted it to be for the fans. I really wanted Celtic fans to write on the  front page. I still want that. So one morning I wake up in the summer of 2011 with the sun beating down through the blinds.

I turn on the laptop, and I see my first post from a fan. All I can say is thank you Paul for taking the ball into your court. Paul has been around since,  almost the begging of this site. He started to comment, and visit a few months after I started this blog. He's still here as perhaps the biggest fan. I honestly wake up every morning waiting for what Paul said. We also have Morena, Franklin, Greg, rcraig617, celticsz, and GeeZeeCeltics who comment, and jlil89 as well. We have more of you, and I'm sorry If I didn't name you.

I always wish I could to do more, but when you have a real job when you put in nearly 50 hours a week. You find ways. I take my laptop on my lunch break, and I usually post something. I also stay up late and post away after a game, and on non game days. Last season I had Celtics Playbook. I recorded the game and broke it down. This season I haven't done many, and I truly want to, but time gets in the way of that. This is where I ask some of you. If you want to write. This is for you. This isn't my blog. It's yours. This site can be more then just a five minute visit for you. It can be your voice out there, and your tool to become what you want

This site hasn't become what I wanted, but I don't regret a thing. It's been fun, and I have spoken to some great human beings along the way. Sometimes I can be poetic, and sometimes my writing can be just okay. I try to make masterpieces, and I'm not a writer. I want to become a good writer, and honestly I can make errors, and thanks for never pointing them out. When you write some posts at 1am, sometimes words look okay.

I don't know what this site will become. I know one thing. No matter how big this site will become, or if it doesn't. I will still be here. I do this for Celtic fans. I want a site for you. But I also want my own site to say whatever, or post whatever I feel like. If anyone wants to write. This is the place. Paul has been a key part here with his writing, and Morena has started. We've had some others who have expressed themselves. If I can do this, you can as well.

I can't express enough how much all of you mean to me.

And I can't express how much this blog means to me.
I really deserve a big thank you for creating this blog and keeping it up.
Being this far away from the Celtics, this blog is the only possibility to feel in Boston even if there's the ocean in between.
Time is never enought, but every time I can, I come here to read all your the great post, especially from you and Paul.
A really heartfelt thank you guys.
