Many of us have been worried, and for good reasons. KG is the guy who carries the Celtics title hopes. Very dim title hopes for that matter, but KG's motto has always been "anything is possible". Calling KG special doesn't do him justice. His voice, and leadership is hard to bottle up, and his gifts at the age of 36. His athletic gifts have become less through the years of course, but his ability to lead, and his basketball I.Q hasn't diminished.Garnett played just 24 minutes, but still managed to score 12 points on 6-for-9 shooting along with grabbing six rebounds. He bothered guys in the paint with his long arms, and smarts. This team is just different with KG, and why wouldn't they be? He's a future hall of fame player who's the best team first superstar.

"I felt okay," Garnett said afterwards. "I felt strong enough to play."

KG won't be 100% this season, and like he said Saturday. When it comes to this time of year. Kevin is never 100%.

"I was surprised at how well he was running; I noticed that (Saturday) in practice. We did all fast-break stuff and I was just doing it for him, just so he could blow his lungs out, and I was surprised how well he was running. So that was good."

The big test is Monday morning. Will he be okay? I think he'll be fine.

Avery Bradley was among those ecstatic to have Garnett back on the floor.

"Kevin's presence on the floor ... I love playing with Kevin," Bradley said. "He just, his intensity ... he just makes everything easier, for everybody. He talks the whole game. Like I said, I love playing with him."

And Garnett loves to play the game, especially when he's capable of playing it at a high level which is why his return to the floor took so long.

"I did the things I typically do," Garnett said. "That was it. I told Ed (Lacerte, the C's head trainer) that if I felt like I couldn't go that I wouldn't push myself but Doc (Rivers) has a lot of trust in what I'm doing. We were on the same page so, so far so good."

KG's presence just amazes me. You can't teach it or buy it. He is authentic in his way. Kevin won't use losing Rondo as an excuse for losing this season. He will take the blame if the Celtics lose this season. That's who is. Is it fair that he does that? Maybe it isn't but it's his way. After KG returned in 2010 after sitting out the 2009 playoffs. I think many fans, and critics thought KG would have retired this past summer for sure when his deal was up. But he's still here, and still capable of great things.
