Paul deserves the award. He's played 73 games, and he's averaging a team high 18.8 points per game. He's also putting up around 7 rebounds and 5 assists per game.
Pierce also won the award in 2006. Other past winners include Garnett (2012, 2008), Al Jefferson (2007), Ray Allen (2009), Rajon Rondo (2010) and coach Doc Rivers (2011).
I was pulling for Green, but when you think about it. He hasn't put together a full package kind of year.
