Celtics Blog Post New Entry

Pierce should rest against the Wolves Monday night

This season has made me sound like a broken record on many topics. This is one of thoes topics. With the Celtics stuck at the 7th seed, and likely stuck there. It's in their best intrest to rest whoever they need to, much like they have been with KG. With Pierce suffering some soreness with his ankle. It's time to shut him down for a game or so. With 9 games to go, the Celtics need to grind them out with health in mind.

You’ve got just got get through it," he said. "It’s hard to be consistent because of the injuries. We’re changing the lineup pretty much every other night. We’ve just got to get through it. We’ve got nine games left in the season. We’ve got to get through them and get ready for the playoffs."

They need to grind these games out with the getting the young guys ready. Bradley is slumping, and it's all between the ears. He needs to snap out before the playoffs or Doc may just go somewhere else. His defense is crucial, but if he's an offensive liabilty then he may have no other choice but to look elsewhere.

"It’s just a little sore," said Pierce. "I turned it in the first quarter. It shouldn’t be a problem." Informed that Rivers suggested he'll get a night off, Pierce responded, "A possibility. We’ll talk tonight."

Let Green and the others takeover Monday night. Let Pierce rest one game at least.

Rest Pierce Doc. Let this team win without the big two, technically Big Three

Pierce should rest. This team is struggling now and looks less like a championship contender, but they are capable of anything.

Much as I love Bradley, when he's not taunting teamates, it's nice to see fans being taught a lesson that they should be more appreciative of players they have learned to scorn, and should be less quick to idolize the newest, latest, greatest flavor. Not that they'll learn that lesson. Bradley isn't god. But he's good.

Bradley is good, and fans put that basketball god label on him, his defense has even been off. I would say Lee and Crawford are better players.
