Celtics Title Town

This was another classic Celtics loss. They had a 13 point lead in the first half, and it was a sloppy lead at that against a lottery bound Hornets team. In the third quarter the Celtics were outscored 22-12. They came out like they just had Thanksgiving dinner. This game started off the way it should have. Green had 11 first quarter points with a perfect 4-of-4 from the field. Jeff Green scored only two points after his great first quarter. Doc benched him in the 4th, and I disagree with Doc on this.

Paul Pierce almost staged a one man comeback in the 4th quarter after the Celtics climbed out of a 9 point deficit. Paul had 28 points for the game, and 11 in the 4th quarter. I wasn't thrilled with Paul's last hero ball jumper, but he was the only Celtic that brought in the 4th, and I suppose KG was okay in the frame. The Celtics didn't get much out of anybody on the offensive end. Bradley, and Lee combined for 10 points, and Jason Terry had zero points. Hornets rookie Anthony Davis tipped home an Eric Gordon miss with a fraction of a second remaining, and the Celtics lose more than just this game. They should have just rested KG, and now the Celtics are alone at the 7th seed with the Bucks breathing down their necks for that spot. I think the loss takes care of any hopes for another Atlantic division title. KG had a good game in 29 minutes. Kevin had 20 points off of 9-of-16 shooting.

I will never grasp this team, and the Celtics I think it's fair to say that it's not Rondo's fault for losses like this. I think it's a lot of things, and after I praise Doc today. I think his subbing, and benching of players concerns me. The Celtics were destroyed on the glass 45-28. Why couldn't we White, or Randolph in there? Having the erratic Jordan Crawford in the game for a majority of the 4th quarter was big gamble. Was Jeff really that bad? Would Doc ever bench Paul Pierce? I would have given Jeff the time on the floor. I hate this team at times, and I truly love this team.
