"Kevin’s not playing tonight -- not because it’s a night off; he wasn't moving well yesterday in practice or today [at shootaround]. So we’re sitting him."

Rivers didn't elaborate much on the issue and wasn't certain of Garnett's availability moving forward, including Monday's visit from the East-leading Miami Heat.

"I don’t know," said Rivers. "Honestly, I haven’t looked that far ahead. I have no idea."

I thought KG would sit this game. It would mean a nice chunk of days off for him, four days to be exact. When I saw that he was hurt instead of just taking the night off. I thought of a few things. I hate to be cynical, but I thought it was a way to stay away from fines from the league, and perhaps if the Celtics did lose, they wouldn't have to hear the same kind of stuff similar to Paul missing the first Bobcats game this week. I know I'm probably wrong on  that theory, but I guess will see, and hopefully KG can go this Monday against Miami. If KG is out for awhile. It could halt the Celtics run at the Atlantic crown, and even overall seeding.

KG out of action won't stop them tonight, but if he's really banged up. The Celtics magical run in the regular season could end.
