Recap: Celtics get revenge and drop Cats in blowout

Posted on March 16, 2013 at 10:00 PM

The game was fairly close for the entire first half. The Celtics did have a solid 50-43 lead entering halftime, but in the 3rd quarter the Celtics seemed out of until It was a two-possession game with under seven minutes to play in the third quarter, but an 11-2 run for the C's put some space between the teams. The Celtics won the game by 17 105-88.

The Celtics entire starting five put up double figures for scoring as the five-man unit of Avery Bradley (13 points), Courtney Lee (12), Brandon Bass (10), Jeff Green (10), and Paul Pierce (14). Going into the game without KG drew some concern because how the Celtics played without Pierce earlier in the week in Charlotte. Boston controlled the glass with a 42-35 rebounding edge. Randolph had a team high 8 rebounds in 15 minutes of action, 4 of those rebounds were on the offensive glass. He had 6 points to go with the 8 boards. The three bigs off the bench (Wilcox 6 points,White 6 points,Randolph 6 points) combined for 18 points. A very good sign in my eyes. Boston finished a scorching 10 of 15 beyond the 3-point arc. The Celtics move onto the big game Monday, and the big question remains will KG play?

I was worried for awhile yelling at the TV when the game was close in the first, and second quarter. They turned on the Jets.
