Celtics Title Town

theheartofwinter so, without pierce, the celtics are a lottery team? and many were saying this team is better without rondo smh.  

unfortunately the lack of pure scorers is really hurting this team. when the core rests or struggling, the others are supposed to step up, but it always seems they're taking the day off too.

The Celtics have scorers, but sometime they don't take the initiative to score. Green has been steady, and he couldn't do it alone Tuesday. But I do agree without Rondo yes the Celtics are without another guy who can take over a game. 

1161shagwell WTF! shoulda won easily instead we relaxed! what a waste! if we lose to toronto,this team sucks again & will duplicate the 6 game losing streak suffered before all the injuries came this midseason.i hate it when we lose to lottery teams.all opportunities to climb to a higher seed is wasted! cant even imagine KG taking 3 pt shot.earlier & missed.obviously he was toying with the cats when he should take them to the hoop! right at that play alone i have a feeling that we'll gonna lose! I hate losing to lottery teams as well. The Celtics will bounce back. I think it's natural to feel that they lose 6 in a row, because hey, they've done it so many times already this season. Like I said Doc set the tone with telling the Bobcats they don't matter when he sat Pierce.

Dolph061 Why do players have to rest? They work 2 hours a day and get paid millions of dollars to play a game I play for free. I don't get it.

Players should get rest, but I understand where he's coming from. I've said it a few times already, and I'll say it again. Doc should have played Pierce, and rested him Saturday. He should have limited Paul's minutes.

BSR.1985 Here we go everyone is falling out of the bandwagon, who cares that we lost the teams chasing us all lost, we are better being the 6 seed with the nets and Knicks remaining schedule the nets will win the division. We are going to play the nets followed by the pacers we won't face Miami until the Ecf. I just don't understand why we didn't play pierce on a first night of the back to back on the road and not played him at home where we have a better chance of winning without pierce

I even agree with that. The Celtics would have had a better chance at home under the crowd instead of on the road resting Pierce. I disagree that the C's should want the 6th seed, when they had a real chance at the 3rd spot. I think this loss will come back to haunt them on that front.
