Recap: Celtics play their worst game of the season in 100-74 loss to the Bobcats

Posted on March 12, 2013 at 9:30 PM

The Celtics pick rest over seeding once again. Pierce took the night off as many of you know, and I guess KG did as well. His energy and spirit was the game in a nutshell. He seemed unhappy playing the game of basketball, and that's the only time I've seen that from KG in a Celtics uniform. He only played 21 minutes, and Doc pulled the plug on KG early in the 4th with the Bobcats taking control. Kevin had an awful stat line with 5 points, 2 rebounds, and an assist. He was 2-of-10 from the field. The Celtics put up 74 points against a bad defensive team, and they allowed 100 points against a horrible offensive team. They lost to the worst team in the NBA with a 14-50 record.

Pathetic game, I mean what else can you say. This is a game that the Celtics will look back on when they lose out on home court in the first round, and maybe even stealing the Atlantic. They remain at 6th in the East, and they lose ground on the Nets for the 4th seed.

Game Stats

  • C's out rebounded 48-29, just pathetic.
  • The Celtics defense allowed 45% shooting, 40 points in the paint, 16 offensive rebounds, and the C's only forced 10 turnovers.
  • Green, and Crawford 14 apiece for team highs in scoring.
  • Henderson killed the C's back court with 35 points.

Lee was, and Doc refused to have Bradley do so, and Terry also. Bad job Doc, and team...

Well, I'm surprised Doc didn't switch Bradley to Henderson.

Doc wanted to lose. Bradley should have been on him in the second half, and Mike Gorman and Scal said it.
