Bob Ryan loves Curry

If your any point guard not named Rondo. Bob Ryan will send over a dozen roses to your house. I think he's right on that Curry seems to be a household name since his brilliant scoring performance against the Knicks. I'm thrilled the Warriors are a playoff team again. Going into the season I didn't even think that was possible. Catch the video here.

Warriors' Stephen Curry still talk of town after 54-point effort, Mercury News- San Jose

Boston Celtics coach Doc Rivers watched Stephen Curry light up the New York Knicks for 54 points. And with his team next up to try to stop the Warriors point guard, Rivers had one thought.

"Make 'em all," Rivers said. "It's like golf. When a guy shoots a 61, he doesn't follow up with another one. So I wanted him to just keep making them all."

The basketball world was still abuzz Thursday, one day after Curry joined an elite group of players to score 50 or more points at Madison Square Garden, arguably basketball's biggest stage.

That exposure, though, has raised the stakes. Curry was already respected around the league. Of all the Warriors, he is the one who strikes the most fear in opponents.

But now, knowing he can go off like that, it figures to increase the defensive attention he receives.

"For sure," Curry said. "But I will embrace that because I will still be able to make plays. ... It is just a different challenge. Any player who is playing well is going to have to make adjustments. It's my turn."

Rivers joked "probably everyone" will guard Curry when the Celtics host the Warriors on Friday.

I think NBA fans can't wait to see what Curry does for an encore. The Warriors have dropped their last two, so they'll be hungry for a win. Doc may need to throw all of his young wings at Curry. I think the pressure could get to him. Curry has never been in this posistion before, and maybe he forces Friday night? We can only hope so.

I wonder if Rondo will tweet a taunt if Curry goes off for 40 on Bradley?

He's hanging out at playgrounds, dominating in Cross Four!
