Lee, and Bradley have big task Friday night, Stop Curry
|

Curry has the basketball world abuzz. after his past two games, and mainly for his 54 point outburst He's hot right now, and how do you cool down a guy like Curry? His performance at Madison Square Garden was Reggie Miller like. Curry continues to grow as one of the best in the game, and perhaps the best shooter in the game. When Curry, and the Golden State Warriors hit the court Friday night. They'll be going up against one of the toughest defensive back courts in the game. So to answer my own question. The Celtics will try, and stop Curry with Bradely. Maybe the best at his position on the defensive end.
"[Bradley's] thing is to bother your dribble, that’s what he does so well," said Rivers. "He puts so much pressure on the ball-handler. What [the Warriors] do a great job of is, Steph gets a lot of shot off the dribble, but then he gives it up and they bring him off three, four, [or] five picks as well, and that’s not so easy."
Bradley hopefully did his homework on Curry, and I hope Lee copied his notes. The Warriors have struggled after setting one of the best starts in franchise history, and since the Rick Barry days. Lucky for the Celtics, Bogut will not play. So the Celtics will be a bit taller. Coach Rivers alluded to the fact that Bradley saved the Utah game because of his defense, and it will be needed Friday night at the Garden against the hottest player in the game, who's averaging 46 per game in his last two games.
"[Bradley's ball pressure] has been key to our defense, the ability to -- you think about the Jazz game, the size advantage they had -- as the game went on they went less and less to the post," said Rivers. "They didn’t have enough time. Avery single-handedly, at times, took them out of their post game."
The Celtics will rely heavily on defense Friday night. That's who the Celtics are, and it's how they'll have any chance of winning games in the playoffs. Another back court foe of the Celtics will be Jarett Jack. He's a thorn in the Celtics side most games, and he should be that same thorn Friday. If the Celtics win Friday. It's defense that will get them there. Nothing new, but something they shouldn't forget.
