Are the Celtics and Bulls destined for another great first round series?

Who could forget the 2009 playoff series between the Bulls, and Celtics? It made Rondo a household name. Even though Rondo technically should have been anyway because he helped lead the Celtics to a championship the year before. The series was a big fight to the finish. It took seven games, and a million of overtimes to decide the winner. Ray Allen had a 51 point game, and a legendary game winner. Pierce had a game winner in there as well. The Celtics entered that series with the worst news. Kevin Garnett was out for the season.
Someone suggested last night’s game could be a first-round playoff preview, and Tom Thibodeau broke into his best “You’ve got to be kidding” face.
With so many injuries on both sides, it was hard for the Bulls coach to even see as far as the All-Star break, which begins for both teams today.
It wasn’t soon enough, all concerned would have probably added. So much ugliness was on display, only some of it connected to good defense. Both teams were clearly crawling toward the five-day vacation.
The Celtics laid their hearts out on the court in that series in 2009. This would be an amazing playoff series. The Bulls, and Celtics had another close game. The Celtics lost in the garden 99-98 a few weeks ago. This was a grind out defensive game that most fans hate. It was a good game for me. I enjoyed the tough defense. The Celtics, and Bulls may play in the first round.
The East seeding can change at anytime. The Celtics statistically could reach the third seed, and they are only 5 games back of New York who hold the second seed. Last season the 76ers started the season off at 20-9, and the Celtics went into the break 15-17 while the 76ers were 20-14 at the break. The Celtics are virtually the same amount of games behind the Knicks in the loss column as they were last season with the 76ers. I think every season is different, and the Knicks have proven that they're for real. I think going for the third seed is a realistic goal that the Celtics should try for.
A Bulls, and Celtics playoff series would have huge drama. KG, and Noah in a playoff series? That's epic stuff.
