The third quarter was down right disturbing. The Celtics scored 8 points in the frame. The Celtics may have over dribbled. But they got some great looks. Doc is one of those coaches that motivate with such confidence, and it's a natural part of who they are, and Doc has that ability to wake guys up. If you think that Doc almost sat KG for the game. The Celtics would have lost this game easily.
If you want to focus on the offense. I think the bigger picture is the Celtics defense. The Celtics were down 7 points after the game was dead locked at 41-41 for a good part of the third quarter. When the Celtics fell down 48-41. I thought the Celtics were in big trouble. They struggled to get 8 points in the third, and didn't know what to expect in the 4th. The defense for the Celtics makes them contenders. You can't count them out because they have KG, and Bradley anchoring the defense.
I agree with Doc that KG shouldn't have played in Charlotte. But what can you do. Thankfully KG has about a week off. Although he's playing over the weekend. I expect limited minutes from KG. Doc did a nice job with KG's minutes Wednesday night with 26 minutes played. Without Kevin in the 4th. The Celtics drop this one. KG found his legs when it mattered, and KG's presence doesn't get old, and it will be a sad day when it's over.
