KG has adopted the Celtics way of life. We know what the legends before him have said about this franchise. Guys like Tommy, and JO JO White love the green. Bob Cousy, and Bill Walton have expressed love for this franchise. KG jumped in right away. He bonded with Celtics legend Bill Russell during the 2008 title run,and his love hasn't wavered since. I believe Russell has helped KG on what it means to be a Celtic. They both pride themselves on the defensive end, and they believe in the team game.
It seems as if KG has taken an oath of loyalty for this team. Through the teams pains and sorrows. He's formed an alliance with each player, and with one goal in mind, to win. Loyalty is trust in the people you love. Loyalty is the foundation of friendship. KG takes nothing lightly, and that has been a song in his career that has been one of his greatest hits. KG won't hold back during a game, and defiantly not after a game. He had this to say about trade rumors.
Unprompted, Garnett sounded off on his name swirling in trade rumors recently while the Celtics try to overcome the loss of starters Rajon Rondo and Jared Sullinger.
"On a last note, I just want to say that I love my situation here," said Garnett. "I don't know what y'all sources or whoever's making up these bull---- --- articles about me getting traded to Denver and all these other places. But I bleed green and I continue to do that. And if it's up to me then I'm going to retire a Celtic. So I just want everybody to know that, alright?"
Despite the Celtics being without Rondo. The hopes of a championship hasn't faded with this bunch. The odds are stacked very high against them. But KG has no fear, and the same goes for Pierce. I really hope they genuinely mean it when they say their doing this for Rondo as well. I'll give the Celtics another 5 games or so to make me a believer in the title talk.
