Celtics Blog Post New Entry

Avery Bradley Steps In Deeper

Apparently Avery Bradley, after tweeting a nasty dig at Rondo, and then claiming it wasn't a dig after  deleting it, has tried to apologize by declaring himself to be blessed to be playing with five HOF players, 'if you include Rondo'.   I dunno - is he including Shaq in that list?  Jason Terry?  Whatever, to me it's the kind of  weak apology that is just more gasoline on the fire.  It's like tweeting about how hot your mistress is, and then saying you didn't mean it, and then saying how blessed you are to have the most lovely wife in the world.   The cat is out of the bag, Avery.   You are a jerk, to put it in nice words.  You've had your knife to Rondo's back this whole time.   Might as well make the most of it.  Be yourself, man.  Michael Jordan built a GOAT career out of being a jerk.

And doesn't this new insight into what is really going on behind the scenes on the Celtics raise some questions about other players, such as Avery Bradley's beloved mentor, Jason Terry?   Remember how Terry couldn't sing Rondo's praises loud enough?   It never did sound quite sincere, did it?   I wonder of that Lucky tattoo is one of the lick-n-stick kind?   There is something going on with this team that is seriously ugly.  Avery accidently opened a window, but he can't pull back inside the stink he let out.  I wonder how many knives have been at Rondo's back this whole time.

But Rondo has some control over this situation.   If he plays the way he is capable of playing, he becomes the one who controls the situation around him.  I just hope that Rondo sends a message loud and clear, to the NBA and to his teammates, tonight against the Knicks, about who is the best player and leader on the Cs, and I hope he starts at the defensive end.  Sometimes the trust isn't there, Rondo, the trust you've talked so much about, but what is there is your talent and your motivation.  I think Dooling asked the right question.  Who are you?  What are you really about?  What are you there for?  Is it for ten million dollars, even though that's cold cash?  Is it for camaraderie, even though that can be fleeting?  Or is it for great basketball?

What's up with the sudden ego Bradley? None of the other blogs really didn't give any thought on this matter. They love Bradley more I suppose. But Bradley has no room to talk, my eyes saw him getting beat down by Irving, Doc was putting his best defender on there best scorer for most of the night, despite the stats. If Bradley is a cancer trade him while his value is high, before he hurts himself again.

This is really serious.
As you said, something is definitely wrong with this team.
And it's not lack of talent; Rondo said it best when he told the media after the Piston loss that with the talent that we have, our record is embarrassing.
If the problem is that some players have knives in Rondo's back, it's disgusting.
Rondo has his flaws, and he need to step up some aspects of his game, but more than once he showed that he really cared.
Even when he had 9 turnovers against the Pistons, and I said it was almost unbelievably bad, (i couldn't watch the game, my comment was based on stats) Paul told me that he was trying to do something!! And Bradley himself told that Rondo really helped him when he first entered the league!! This is horribly disrespectful!! And it's even more serious if it's not just Bradley but other players too!!
I just hope Rondo figures this out. But it's hard to discover that your friend had a knife to your back.

The way the blogs and media have ignored this shows how insane they are. If Rondo hiccups they go nuts attacking him. But Bradley is a saint in their eyes. Who is this guy? Injured every other day? Considered a washout halfway through last year? I like Bradley, but for him to think he has a position to taunt Rondo is demented. But unfortunately, it's become Celtics reality.

I hope Rondo plays big tonight and turns this around. Part of it too, I'm sure, is that Bradley is a kid. But I think he's shown that he's not the darling he's been portrayed as being.
