"IN RONDO WE TRUST"

Celtics Blog Post New Entry

More Thuggery from Wade

Posted by paul on December 27, 2012 at 12:15 AM

Last night LeThug literally kicked a player in the balls.  It's almost impossible to believe.

In the play, Wade is bringing the ball up court, and is checked by Sessions.   Wade stops suddenly, and  falls slightly off balance, and then as clear as day, with a ref right behind him, kicks Sessions in the genitals.  I'm not sure he even got a foul called on the play!  LeThug's sense of impunity is becoming genuinely frightening.  He is going to seriously hurt someone, possibly Rondo, possibly soon.   I get it that the league wants this, wants the hockey style blood and guts,  but are the rest of the owners and the rest of the players really willing to watch this happen?  Are they actually that eager to see glatiatoral style mayhem on the court?

Of course Wade should have been instantly ejected from the game.  He literally kicked another player in the balls.  Yeah, I know, he disguised it a little, but for God's sake, this time he BARELY even did that.  Usually he puts a little more effort into his acting.  This time it was pretty much 'hey, I'm going to go ahead and kick this guy in the balls and no one is going to do anything about it."   Can you imagine the storm of criticism that would come down on Rondo if he kicked another player in the balls?   And no doubt there would be another suspension, if Rondo did it.

So now  I guess Shame Battier has to do it too ...

Wade is on a trajectory to very seriously hurt someone, possibly Rondo.  It's very disturbing.  It's long past time for fans around the league to speak up, and make it clear that we do not want hockey style basketball.

Amazingly, the color guy in the video states that the kick was clearly intentional. I guess he went off script...

They allow this crap, and they suspend Rondo for two games for protecting a teammate. The league will never change. If this is the league they want. I wish they would be honest with us fans. Instead they allow the stars of the league, or the super team to get away with everything.

lol! I think Wade should change his nickname to Jesus, because he walks on water in the NBA.

I love too how LeBron gets to play good cop while Wade plays sidekick/badcop. Does Wade have any idea how much a punk he looks? Maybe he does and maybe that's why he tries to hurt people...

Honestly, Jlil, Wade scares me. If you watch him, he is a guy who really knows how to hurt people, and who enjoys doing it. His 'goodfella' body language after a hit is really chilling. It's pretending he had nothing to do with it, and proudly strutting at the same time. It's no joke, I think. He's really going to hurt someone badly. He's already dislocated Rondo's elbow, and broken Kobe's nose, but I really don't think he's done. Not with the league encouraging him the way it is doing, by not disciplining him.

That's standard thug practice, Morena, regardless of whether the thug is in the White House, heading the NBA, running a bank, playing in Miami, or on the street. I remember the streets. I remember how clever and shameless the thugs were about trying to make it look like you were the aggressor as they attacked you. Those guys are experts at doing this. It's an ancient art. You see a little bit of it in KG, but in KG's case, it's mostly clowning. He's getting in people's heads, not trying to actually hurt them, or make them believe that he actually will.

Think about war. When a war starts, the aggressor ALWAYS pretends to be the one being attacked, or the one defending peace!! And they always get away with it - IF THEY WIN.

The most deeply sad and atrocious thing about all this is that most people act like such total sheep, taking their cue about what to think and feel from the lying tongues of the media, and also chasing after 'the winners'. Dwayne Wade is committing actual assault on the basketball court, if you ask me, but it's always the sneaky hit from behind, the leg sweep, the ball-kick. Yet the public views him as the hero, and Rondo is the punk!! Rondo confronts someone he has a problem with directly, and doesn't hit them in a way that could injure them, barring a freak accident. His only real punk moments, that I'm aware of, were early in his career. Just imagine the hue and cry if he had kicked someone in the groin. Imagine the suspension. Imagine the calls for him to banned from the NBA!

I think top players like Kobe and KG should get together and call Wade and the league out on this. It's not safe to be on the court with Wade right now. Even Metta World Peace only seems to cross the line when he loses his mind. With Wade, it's become his thing. Yeah, I kick guys in the balls and break their noses. Whatcha gonna do?

Well there IS something the league's vets could do.

At Celtics Blog, bless their hearts, there is a fan thread discussing this. All but one of the posters seems to get it. I don't understand the one who doesn't. Wade is becoming seriously dangerous. The league is giving him carte blanche to hurt other players.

I totally agree with you when you say that the veterans should get together and point out the danger here, because Wade is really dangerous right now!!
That's a great idea!! And it may be the only way!! I'm starting to be a little scared for the next game with miami..

I don't know why they don't realize that a guy who is that powerful, and that (apparently) without scruple, can be very dangerous when he feels he has impunity.
