Celtics Title Town

This was a good win, and the Celtics had their moments. They built a lead of 20, but like clock work the second unit allowed Kyrie Irving to get the Cavs back in the game. Paul Pierce poured in 40 points on a great 13-of-16 shooting, which included 6-of-7 shooting beyond the 3-point arc. The Celtics would pull away in the 4th, and build a double digit lead again after the Cavs got within in two points.

Rajon Rondo added 20 points on 7-of-11 shooting with eight assists. What I liked most about Rondo tonight was his attidute, and his attacking the basket mindset. He attempted 10 free throws, and he made a solid 6. Rondo had countless no calls tonight, but at least he was aggressive.

I think a turning point for the season could be adding Jason Collins to the starting lineup. I think his stat line is less than impressive, but his effort, and his defense in the paint was solid. The Cavs scored 38 points in the paint, and that's a slight improvement from past games. He played 23 minutes, but he was a solid +23 when he was in.

Terry (15 points), and KG (12 points) were solid when Pierce or Rondo weren't scoring. The big four came out to win, and hopefully they build off of this. I won't say they have turned the corner. A phrase we've heard so many times this season.
