Kobe Bryant scored 40 points and Dwight Howard had 13 points in the Lakers to the Clippers. My Western Finals Champion prediction the Clippers have started out strong. The Lakers lack what the Clippers have. Steve Nash sat out with a bruised left leg for the Lakers. I pointed out before the season started that the Lakers would have issues with Nash, and Kobe with nagging injuries all season.

The depth has been an issue for the Lakers. Gasol played 39 minutes,and Kobe played 43 minutes. Kobe at his age playing 43 minutes a night is a bad sign. Kobe's in terrific health,but still not ideal for a team relying on a guy who has a lot of miles. It's comforting knowing the Lakers are struggling. Because the Celtics need to get their act together as well.
