CelticsLife.com  We've Heard Enough

Their post was short, and sweet. I feel the same way. I'm done with Ray Allen. His number shouldn't be retired, and he's not a Celtic great. Yes, he'll always be a Celtic because he wore the uniform, but he walked away, and he's the enemy. Can't wait until Tuesday.

I love it that Rondo calls him number 20. I think what it does is point to the fact that Allen changed numbers, almost as if the Celtics Allen doesn't exist anymore. So if we retire number 20, whose number is that? IT'S NOT EVEN RAY ALLEN'S NUMBER! Not really.

I love it that Allen has himself abandoned the number, apparently, but we are supposed to retire it?!

But really, of course Allen's number will be retired, if for no other reason than that KG and PP will insist on it. But hopefully we'll make him sweat some.

That said, if Allen's number is going to be retired, I want 'Toin's number retired! And, while we are on the topic, I'd like to see Len Bias' number retired. I think all Celtics know in their hearts that Bias WAS a Celtic.
