Pierce, and Bass set to play tonight

"No, [Milicic will] be ready," said Rivers. "He could play tonight. We feel like we have a bunch of days off, why take a chance? Give him another couple days to get his hand right."
Milicic suffered a mild right wrist sprain during practice earlier this month. He got a cortisone shot Tuesday to help alleviate discomfort and the Celtics had hoped to have him back on the floor for Saturday's game against the Knicks. Instead, they gave him both weekend games off in hopes of avoiding a setback.
Also not playing for Boston on Sunday: Chris Wilcox (back) and Leandro Barbosa (visa issues).
On the positive side of injury news, Brandon Bass (knee) deemed himself in good health and is expected to play, as is Paul Pierce (ankle). Both players were dinged up in Thursday's game in Brooklyn and sat out Saturday's tilt against the Knicks.
Thankfully the Celtics are deep up front, because Wilcox has yet to see any playing time, and Darko has banged up all preseason.
