Celtics Blog Post New Entry

Recap: C's bounce back, and beat Armani 105-75

Rajon Rondo's first-quarter masterpiece (17 points on 7-of-7 shooting, including a 3-pointer and two amazing layups set the tone for the day. Rondo put the league on notice with his jumper. The defense went underneath, and he made them pay.

\Doc Rivers put Jared Sullinger and Terry in the starting lineup alongside Rondo, Pierce, and Kevin Garnett. Sullinger responded with another solid performance, putting in nine points and seven rebounds. Sully is for real, and I loved seeing him with the starting unit.

Darko Milicic was good while putting in two points, nine rebounds, four blocks, and three assists. He could have scored he missed some bunnies, but it's camp, and when the season starts I expect more of those to go in.

The Celtics only had 14 turnovers. A solid turnaround after having 25 in their first preseason game. The Celtics were really good on the defensive end. Holding Armani to just 75 points, and 31% shooting. The Celtics were monsters on the glass with 54, and the Armani team grabbed just 34.

Green had another solid game with 17 points, and Terry nailed three 3's again. Lee also had a much better game. Doc held KG to 12 minutes, and Pierce to 17 minutes. A great bounce back game in the preseason. I'll have more later on the game.

What a start from Rondo!! And Milan is lucky that after those 10 minutes he basically stopped playing, even when he was on the field.

Once's he's done that to a few teams, they will have to play him tighter, and then it will really be on...
